The journey to create Woolly Nest dog beds began with a personal quest: finding the perfect bed for a dog suffering from arthritis and stiff joints. Traditional options, like memory foam, were quickly ruled out due to concerns about unnatural materials and the potential for harmful chemicals leaching into the environment.

Research into wool revealed its potential benefits, but existing wool dog beds often relied on woollen wadding. While a step in the right direction, these beds still felt too firm and lacked the desired level of cushioning.

The vision was clear: a bed that was big, incredibly soft, and delightfully bouncy. This led to the discovery of wool knops. These unique wool clusters offer exceptional support, gently hugging joints and easing stiffness. Unlike wadding, wool knops create a much softer bed that maintains its shape and doesn't clump over time.

Beyond the need for comfort and health, there was also a desire to create a dog bed that seamlessly integrated into contemporary homes. The market was saturated with beds featuring uninspired colors and limited design options. We wanted to create a bed that wasn't just a functional item for pets, but also a stylish piece of furniture that complemented modern décor.
